Sheltered Housing

The Trust has five sites providing sheltered housing for the over sixties.  To apply for housing, the applicant/s must be currently living within the ancient parish of Yardley.  If people from outside this area wish to apply, they must be able to provide a case to the board of Trustees who would consider whether they should be accepted onto the waiting list based on their current situation.  The housing is very sought after and satisfaction survey results are constantly very high.

The Trusts sheltered housing is situated on five schemes all within the ancient parish of Yardley. Photographs of both the schemes and the Scheme Managers are below. Old Brookside, Foliot Fields and Greswold Gardens all have full time Scheme Managers who are resident on site. They also have a community lounge used for various activities and a laundry. Yardley Gardens and Cottrells Close are both managed by a part time visiting Scheme Manager and Yardley Gardens benefits from a community lounge but has no laundry. Cottrells Close does not have a lounge or laundry.

Residents in our sheltered housing are encouraged and supported to live independently within their own home. There are lots of activities going on in and around the schemes if people wish to join in.

All the properties are maintained to a very high standard and the communal gardens kept in very good order allowing residents to enjoy them particularly in the better weather.

All staff are very experienced and trained to provide support depending on the needs of residents.

The Trusts sheltered accommodation has an excellent reputation and is praised by residents, visitors and professionals. We aim to continue to provide a high quality, efficient service for many years to come.
